Gaumaya Gurung is an actor, and an alumni of the esteemed Berlinale Talents 2024. She is known for her roles in the commercially acclaimed films Kabaddi 4: The Final Match (2022), Maha Jatra (2024), and the award-winning 1915: Legend of Gurkhas (2022), which garnered accolades at the Nepal National Film Awards. In recognition of her talent, she was nominated for the 'Best Debut Actress' by the Nepal Film Technicians Association (NEFTA) in 2023.

Gaumaya Gurung's recent work " Puja, sir " directed by Deepak Rauniyar, recipient of Berlinale VFF Talent Highlights Award,  is premiering at the Venice Film Festival 2024. 

Other notable works include BBC's Drama mini-series Black Narcissus (2020), which received the prestigious ReFrame Stamp and was listed among IMDbPro's Top 200 Most Popular TV Titles in 2020-2021. Gaumaya's future projects include " House Full of Women",  by award winning filmmaker Tribeny Rai,  Fajr International Film Festival (2020). 

Gurung is a member of European Film Academy and Equity UK.
